Respiratory Care Prac-RRT - PRN

Summary

Join our Respiratory Care team where you will provide advanced respiratory therapy services and critical patient care in a collaborative healthcare environment. In this role, you will administer therapeutic gases, ventilator support, respiratory treatments, and critical interventions while assessing, monitoring, and supporting patients across a variety of care settings. As a valued member of the patient care team, you will collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to deliver safe, high-quality, and compassionate respiratory care.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer therapeutic gases, ventilator support, and respiratory treatments
• Perform critical respiratory interventions and procedures including chest physiotherapy, intubation support, arterial line insertions, mini-BALS, and cardiopulmonary resuscitation
• Assess, monitor, and document patient condition and response to treatment
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare teams to support quality patient care
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with departmental and regulatory standards
• Respond appropriately to emergency situations and support critical patient care needs
• Promote patient, coworker, and personal safety throughout care delivery

Requirements

• Associate degree in Respiratory Care required
• 1-3 years of Respiratory Therapy experience preferred
• Current Maryland Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license required
• NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification required within 1 year of hire
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS/CPR certification required
• ACLS and PALS certifications required within 1 year of hire
• Knowledge of respiratory therapy practices and critical care procedures required
