Slot Technician - Slot Operations
The Slot Tech Apprentice plays a key role in maintaining and servicing slot machines and related gaming equipment. Hard work and dedication can lead to advancement opportunities to a Tech position.
Responsibilities
- Performs all repairs and service requirements for slot machines and related gaming equipment.
- Installs, configures, and tests slot machines and associated equipment following manufacturer guidelines and department policies.
- Removes and replaces failed components during installation and upgrades per manufacturer and department procedures.
- Ensures all slot machines on the casino floor operate according to company standards.
- Rebuilds parts and equipment during downtime and maintains assigned parts inventory.
- Prioritizes workloads to meet business demands and performs repairs as needed throughout assigned areas.
- Maintains clean and organized slot and storage areas.
- Sets up and tests all new slot products.
- Completes regulatory and operational documents thoroughly and legibly.
- Assists in training subordinates and developing new training methods and manuals.
- Maintains the integrity of slot machine equipment and secures company assets.
- Conducts all work in accordance with Gaming Commission Regulations and Seminole Tribe/departmental policies.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent with mechanical/technical abilities, or equivalent work experience.
- Ability to learn machine installations, cabinetry placement, and machine unloading during deliveries.
- Capable of reading and understanding technical manuals.
- Able to stand/walk for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Basic math skills required.
- Good guest service skills.
Work Environment
Duties are primarily performed in the back of house of the casino, which can be fast-paced with excessive noise. Occasional work on the casino floor may expose you to secondhand smoke and noise. Physical demands include frequent standing, walking, handling, reaching, and lifting up to 80 pounds. Requires close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, as well as depth perception and focus adjustment.
