Slot Technician (Full Time)

About the role

The Slot Technician I is responsible for diagnosing and repairing slot machines, providing training or assistance to less experienced technicians, and performing various other duties as directed.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and respond to customer service-related issues
• Perform day-to-day preventative maintenance on gaming devices
• Clear coin jams and bill validator jams
• Investigate and verify ticket issues
• Maintain inventory of supplies needed for job function
• Calibrate currency validators, execute machine moves, and perform game conversions
• Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on slot machines
• Attend seminars when needed

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Good communications skills
• Basic computer skills
• Two (2) or more years’ experience in the Gaming Industry or an equivalent customer service environment
• Electronic background or minimum two years’ experience in slot operations
• Must obtain and maintain all licenses/certifications per Federal, State, and Illinois Gaming Commission
• Pass background check
• Must be twenty-one (21) years of age
• Ability to work holidays and weekends, as well as flexible shifts and/or unusual hours
• Prior experience in the Gaming industry is strongly preferred

• Knowledge of pertinent federal, state, and local laws, codes, and regulations
• Team leadership and motivational skills
• Technical experience and training with slots
• Electronics at circuit board level
• Electronic and computer programming
• Ability to deliver a service level that creates a positive, memorable entertainment experience
• Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
• Interpret and explain policies and procedures

• Ability to work in a noisy environment
