Slasher 2nd Shift

Scope Of Responsibilities

• Work with the assistant, under the direct supervision of the shift support and in full cooperation with all associates, working together.
• Responsible for the overall operation of the Slasher.
• Perform set up procedures at creel run out, load section and set into creel.
• Maintain correct speed and tension on slasher, observe front of slasher for breaks, lost ends or yard defects.
• Stop machine to repair breaks and glue lost ends.
• Maintain selvages of warp.
• Complete necessary paperwork, as required.
• Maintain general housekeeping of area.

Job Specifications

• 1-3 years machine operating experience
• Basic math abilities for calculating materials needed
• General computer knowledge
• Able to use material handling equipment (hoist, hand jack)
• Must be able to work in a tight, confined area without damaging yarn
