Skilled Trades Recruiter

About the role

Spherion WI & Northern IL is expanding its Skilled Trades practice to assist regional manufacturers address critical hiring shortages. As a Skilled Trades Recruiter, you will manage a "full desk" proactively sourcing top talent while simultaneously building relationships with local industrial employers.

What You'll Do

• Congduct outbound sales and networking to build relationships with manufacturing leaders.
• Source and pipeline skilled trades talent via job boards, social media, and community outreach.
• Act as a trusted advisor to clients on workforce planning, pay trends, and hiring.
• Manage the full hiring lifecycle: interview coordination, offers, and onboarding.
• Maintain accurate records within internal systems and contribute to team goals.

What We're Looking For

• Open to backgrounds in sales, recruiting, customer service, or manufacturing.
• Strong communication, relationship-building, and organization skills.
• Curiosity about technical roles and how businesses operate.
• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) and US work authorization.
• Plus: Prior staffing or skilled trades experience (CNC, welding, maintenance).
• Helpful, but not required: Prior staffing industry or technical/skilled trades recruiting experience.
• Familiarity with industrial roles (e.g., CNC machinists, welders, maintenance technicians).

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: $55,000 - $75,000/year base + performance-based incentive program.
