About the role
Innovative Refrigeration Systems, Inc. is seeking a skilled Recruiter to support our skilled trades hiring efforts in Lyndhurst, VA. This position plays a key role in managing the full recruitment lifecycle, partnering with hiring managers, and ensuring that the company attracts and hires top-tier trades talent to support operational goals.
Responsibilities
- Manage the full-cycle recruiting process for all skilled trades positions.
- Screen resumes, evaluate applicants, and conduct phone, video, and in-person interviews.
- Serve as the main contact for prospective candidates and guide them through the hiring process.
- Partner with department managers and directors to assess hiring needs and advise on staffing solutions.
- Source candidates through direct outreach, referrals, research, online platforms, and recruitment agencies.
- Develop and maintain relationships with management, candidates, and external recruiting sources.
- Afford to develop succession plans and address staffing gaps.
- Manage the job offer process, including offer negotiation and delivery.
- Oversee candidate background checks, reference checks, and drug screenings.
- Prepare recruiting reports, presentations, and support ad-hoc recruiting projects.
- Oversee marketing and promotional materials for career fairs and trade shows.
- Represent the company at recruiting events and assist in onboarding new recruiters.
Requirements
- Proven success in full-cycle recruiting with strong hiring outcomes.
- Ability to manage multiple openings across departments and geographic locations.
- Deadline-driven and detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in a high-volume or fast-paced recruiting environment.
- Skilled in sourcing strategies including Boolean search, passive outreach, and leveraging social media/job boards.
- Experience guiding hiring managers through the recruitment process.
- Proficiency with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruiting platforms (e.g., LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, Juicebox.ai).
- Ability to craft compelling job descriptions and candidate outreach communications.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position (seated or standing) for extended periods.
- Occasionally may need to lift or carry items up to 25 pounds (e.g., office supplies, small equipment).
