Skilled Nursing Activities Aide and Van Driver

About the role

The Skilled Nursing Activity Aide assists with developing an activity plan prescribed by the resident’s physician and in compliance with State of California regulations. This includes providing mental, physical, and emotional care to skilled nursing residents based on their individual needs.

Responsibilities

• Provides mental, physical, and emotional care to skilled nursing residents based on their individual needs.
• Develops an activity plan prescribed by the resident’s physician and in compliance with State of California regulations.
• Acts as the van driver, escorting residents to and from non-emergency medical appointments and activities.

Qualifications

• Active Driver's license and comfortable in driving a Ford Transit Van
• Education/Experience: High school diploma or GED; one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Working towards completion of 36 hours of training in a course specifically designed for the position of SNF Activity Director.
• Prefer an individual with experience in art, music or recreational therapy.
• Experience in driving professionally.
