About the Role
The Spokane Police Department offers this program to retiring and transitioning Service members, providing opportunities to participate in industry training programs as they move into civilian careers. During a Service member’s participation in the SkillBridge program, the DOW takes care of their Military pay and benefits, offering a valuable experience to the Service member.

Requirements
- Active duty service member, selected reserves, guardsman, or qualified dependent
- May participate within 180 days of being discharged or released from active duty
- Must have served 180 continuous days on active duty
- Attach a completed Personal History Statement from PublicSafetyTesting.com to your application
- Have authorization from your chain of command and service branch to participate in SkillBridge
- Upload your completed Personal History Statement (PHS) from Public Safety Testing (PST)
- Provide your End of Active Obligation Service date
- Specify your type of Military Discharge
- Commit to a continuous timeframe for the internship experience
- Select your branch/component of the military
- Choose your desired career track internship
- Indicate your level of education
- Describe why you are applying for the Spokane Police Department SkillBridge Program
