About the role
The Skill Development Professional is responsible for designing and implementing individualized skill development programs for children with disabilities. This position requires strong communication skills, creativity, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized skill development plans based on child assessments and goals
- Collaborate with families, therapists, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive care
- Provide direct support to children in various settings including home, school, and community
- Adapt activities to meet the unique needs of each child
- Document progress and communicate with team members regularly
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Early Childhood Education, Psychology, or related field
- Experience working with children with developmental disabilities
- Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation
- Ability to work flexible hours and occasional evenings and weekends
Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Knowledge of adaptive equipment and strategies
- Passion for making a difference in the lives of children with disabilities

- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and environments
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
