About the role
The Respite Support Professional is responsible for providing respite care services to children and families in need. This position offers flexible hours to accommodate the varying needs of clients.
Responsibilities
- Provide respite care services to children and families in need
- Assist with daily activities such as play, meal preparation, and light housekeeping
- Ensure safety and supervision of children during respite care sessions
- Communicate regularly with families about the child's progress and needs
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Experience working with children and families
- Ability to work flexible hours
- Pass a background check
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (child development, social work, etc.) preferred
- At least 2 years of relevant work experience
Skills
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
- Patience and empathy
