Ski & Ride School Group Lesson Supervisor

About the role

The Group Lesson Supervisor oversees all daily group lesson products for kids and adults of all ages, including school groups and grant-funded community programs. This role involves planning daily operations, coordinating program dates, participant inventory, and instructor staffing, as well as supporting hiring, training, timekeeping, evaluating, recognition, disciplinary action, reporting, and offboarding.

Responsibilities

• Develop a high-performing team of instructors by selecting the right people, coaching, training, and facilitating quick acclimation for new team members.
• Determine staff schedules in coordination with counterparts.
• Manage and execute daily kids and adult lesson products.
• Coordinate and oversee school groups and grant-funded community programs.
• Support daily ski school operations.
• Manage labor to revenue through staffing and assignments.
• Oversee staff performance with integrity and the resort's values, including setting clear expectations, delivering feedback, recognition, disciplinary action, and seasonal evaluations.
• Regularly communicate with counterparts in other departments.
• Maintain a safe working environment for all staff.
• Keep the learning area and facility clean and professional-looking.

Requirements

• Strong, clear communication and leadership skills across 1:1, group, and cross-functional settings, with empathy and self-awareness to develop, motivate, and adapt to a team of instructors.
• Dependable, punctual, and accountable, with a commitment to driving work to completion.
• Knowledgeable of basic computer programs and able to learn new ones.
• Able to synthesize data and experience to make objective, timely decisions on staffing and operations, even in fast-paced or ambiguous conditions.
• Organized work style with the ability to be innovative and creative.
• On-snow supervision experience in snowsports operations is a plus.
• Current Level I PSIA-AASI (or equivalent) Certification and 2 years of industry experience required.
• Level II PSIA-AASI Certification preferred.

Pay

$28.88 per hour.

Schedule

Full-time, seasonal, hourly position.
