About the role

Peraton requires an IT Specialist to support the Special Operation Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) - 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) Task Order. This position is located at Fort Campbell, KY. The IT Specialist performs Tier one and two network, systems, and phone support in accordance with the SIE OPORD.

This position provides administration of network and communications systems, including, but not limited to, routers, switches, VTCs, phones, laptops and other IT systems.

Responsibilities

• Create monitoring reports and manage equipment logs, as well as ensure the functionality of links.
• Coordinate IT administration and performance requirements with other members of the networking and systems team.
• Identify, analyze, and document long-range requirements, and administer resources related to the enterprise network.
• Prepare technical implementation plans that provide integrated solutions, including actions, milestones, timelines, and critical paths required for complete solutions.
• Research applicable standards and requirements documents to assure network compliance.
• Provide reasonable responsiveness in terms of IT systems performance (e.g., availability, reliability, and throughput).
• Prepare activity and progress reports for the Government regarding IT systems performance initiatives.
• Provide full lifecycle support of LAN and WAN infrastructures.
• Follow designated network standards for the design, installation, and maintenance of IT infrastructures.
• Install, tune, test, operate, monitor, upgrade, patch, break/fix, defend, and manage WAN and LAN routing and switching infrastructure hardware and software, including network hardware and software.
• Install, tune, test, operate, monitor, upgrade, patch, break/fix, defend, and manage WAN and LAN systems infrastructure hardware and software, including PC hardware and software.
• Configure, install, operate, maintain, defend, troubleshoot, and repair LAN/WAN capabilities, including point-to-point circuits, satellite connectivity, dedicated Internet connections, and broadband Internet connections, including necessary additions and changes to associated routers, switches, and encryption devices.
• Configure, operate, maintain, defend, troubleshoot, and repair LAN Programs of Record (PORs).
• Configure, operate, maintain, defend, troubleshoot, and repair IT infrastructures, including necessary additions and changes to associated routers, switches, external USSOCOM and commercial provider circuits, and encryption devices.
• Configure, operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair IT Programs of Record (PORs).
• Configure, operate, maintain, defend, troubleshoot, and repair the Virtual Local Area Network (VLAN) architectures of USSOCOM, its Component Commands, TSOCs, and deployed forces.
• Configure, maintain, defend, troubleshoot, and repair classified and unclassified wireless LANs, including wireless access points and their interconnection to the wired infrastructure.
• Provision, operate, manage, and monitor LAN/WAN Virtual Private Network (VPN) services to securely connect remote elements and mission partners over the SIE and shared public IP networks, ensuring compliance with applicable DoD, Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), DISA, United States Cyber Command (USCYBERCOM), and USSOCOM policies, procedures, regulations, and directives.
• Troubleshoot LAN/WAN voice, data, and transmission networks and evaluate the effect of architectural changes on them.
• Implement network and security access.
• Configure, update, monitor, manage, troubleshoot, and document routers and switches in the USSOCOM LAN/WAN networks.
• Collaborate and coordinate with external Government and commercial circuit providers to expedite the restoration of circuit outages.
• Provide mobile device support.
• Provide CSfC kit support.
• Some positions may require shift work and/or an ability to work a non-standard work schedule to support the USSOCOM mission.

Requirements

• BS + 2 years of experience OR HS with + 6 years of experience OR AA with + 4 years of experience.
• DoD TS w/ SCI clearance is required.
• Required certification: DOD 01-M IAT II and CCNA.
• Solid technical skills, with experience in a variety of network protocols, software, and hardware involved in IT operations.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Government hardware, software, and network components.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytic, and diagnostic skills, along with good communication abilities.

Desired Qualifications

• Must be DoD 8140 compliant under the Work Role Code 411 - Technical Support Specialist- Intermediate level or higher by 1 Oct 26.

Pay

Target salary range: $66,000 - $106,000. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
