Program Overview
Peraton provides USSOCOM, its Component Commands, Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs), deployed forces, CIO/J6, and end-users with high-quality IT platform and network services over an eight-year period.
About The Role
Peraton requires an Information Technology Specialist to support the Special Operations Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) - 3. This position is located at Camp Lejeune, NC. The purpose of the Special Operations Forces Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) Task Order (TO) is to provide USSOCOM, its Component Commands, its Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs), and its deployed forces with Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services to maintain Network Operations (NetOps); maintain systems and network infrastructure; provide end-user and common device support; provide configuration, change, license, and asset management; conduct training, and perform Install, Move, Add, Change (IMACs) services. The IT Specialist plays a pivotal role within our IT infrastructure team, providing IT support in line with the SIE OPORD.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Providing incident response using multiple software applications, including Remedy.
- Installing, tuning, testing, operating, monitoring, upgrading, patching, break/fix, defense, and management of WAN and LAN routing and switching infrastructure hardware and software including network hardware and software.
- Installing, configuring, imaging, and maintaining desktop and laptop PCs, mobile devices, and peripherals, such as printers.
- Installing, configuring, upgrading, patching, optimizing, and monitoring operating system (OS) software applications.
- Removing antiquated IT equipment and performing data migration to new machines.
- Installing, maintaining, and assessing current and future telecommunications systems and equipment.
- Installing new cable/fiber, terminating and testing new cable/fiber, testing and troubleshooting faulty cable/fiber.
- Analyzing, troubleshooting, and resolving system hardware, software, and networking issues.
- Installing, configuring, and maintaining VTC endpoints.
- Complying with cable routing from communication rooms to Consolidation Points (CPs) and from CPs to furniture jacks, terminating/troubleshooting, connecting from furniture plate to devices.
- Labeling all cables, patch panels, CPs, and other devices IAW SOCOM Standard.
- Unpacking and disposing of all packing and excess materials.
- Transporting equipment between locations as Installing network devices in communication rooms, i.e., patch plates, routers, and switches.
Qualifications
- Minimum 9 years with High School Diploma; 7 years with Associate Degree; or 5 years with Bachelor's Degree.
- Active DoD TS/SCI Clearance.
- DoD 8570 IAT II Certification.
- Must have DoW 8140 compliant under the Work Role Code 411- Intermediate level or higher by 1 Oct 26 (highly desired).
Details Target Salary Range
The target salary range for this position is $66,000 - $106,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
