Site Safety Representative
Responsibilities
- Maintain a current understanding of applicable safety and health regulations and best practices.
- Create and utilize processes for reviewing PTPs and JHAs.
- Routinely verify the execution of special procedures such as confined space entry, LO/TO, excavations, or hot work.
- Ensure safety orientations are conducted as specified in the SSSP.
- Verify and document all safety training certifications and records.
- Cookordination regulatory agency inspections and notify affected parties.
- Document observations and administer software platforms as requested.
- Monitor safety performance for compliance with company and client practices.
- Interface with the construction management team to provide safety performance data.
- Facilitate safety communications, including meetings and notices.
- Conduct regular site safety walks with the client’s safety management representative.
- Address any observed non-compliance immediately and escalate as necessary.
- Participate in client trainings and ensure operational safety requirements are followed.
- Support client safety initiatives and verify communication systems.
- Oversee maintenance of safety equipment and establish decontamination procedures.
- Exercise authority to stop work when imminent safety hazards are identified.
- Conduct safety observations and audits, and investigate incidents and near misses.
- Maintain records including inspections, monitoring activities, and incident investigations.
- Complete and maintain required training.
Requirements
- Must have a Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Associate Safety Professional (ASP), Construction Health and Safety Technologist (CHST), Occupational Health and Safety Technologist (OHST), Graduate or Chartered Member of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH), or Safety Trained Supervisor - Construction (STS-C) certification.
- Must have a Bachelor's Degree or higher in EHS discipline or related field.
- At least three years' experience with similar project size and construction type.
- NEBOSH Certificate/Diploma or OSHA 30-hour Construction Industry Outreach Training course.
- Experience in facility construction and capital project support for facility expansions.
- Background in safety within a heating and air conditioning company is beneficial.

Work Environment
The role is based at the Beaver Dam Data Center, working under a mechanical contractor. The project is currently in phase 1 with plans to continue into phase 2 over the next five years. The position is hourly, with overtime for work over 40 hours per week. Work hours are typically Monday to Friday from 7 AM to 5 PM, with Saturday work as needed. There is the possibility of shifting to a 6 AM start with potential 12-hour workdays. This position offers per diem for regional candidates and mileage reimbursement at the IRS rate.
