About the role
The Site Safety Manager at Clune Construction is responsible for ensuring safety and environmental compliance on a local construction project. This role involves direct interaction with the project team and the Risk Management Department to maintain high safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Act as an internal consultant to all company business units regarding safety.
- Ensure compliance with Clune safety guidelines, project requirements, local, state, and national regulations.
- Work with the project team and Regional Safety Director or Manager to implement safety programs and protocols that meet or exceed client safety requirements.
- Review, audit, and file all required client safety documentation.
- Provide safety guidance during the planning stages of the project.
- Coordinate, manage, and conduct safety education programs for Clune employees, supervisors, and contractors.
- Attend and contribute to company and project safety meetings.
- Attend outside training to stay updated on industry changes.
- Model professional behavior for Clune employees, trade partners, visitors, and vendors.
- Supervise and mentor Safety Personnel on the project.
Requirements
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with various stakeholders.
- Strong planning skills to organize schedules involving meetings, walk-throughs, etc.
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills to maintain detailed records.
- Desire and ability to work in team-focused environments and collaborate internally and externally.
- Mentoring skills to help colleagues improve their safety knowledge.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety and Health or related field, or equivalent combination of 5-10 years education and experience.
- OSHA 30 hour certification preferred.
- Current First Aid/CPR/AED certification.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local safety standards.

Pay
The pay range for this position is $90,000 - $134,000 annually. Actual compensation is determined by relevant experience, skills, education, and internal equity.
