Site Production Technician – Pittsburgh, PA

IONETIX is seeking a full-time Site Production Technician to join our team in Pittsburgh, PA. Our facility is located within the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. In this role, you will operate cyclotron and purification units to manufacture and release PET radiopharmaceutical products, fully integrating tracer production at the point of imaging. This position offers the opportunity to use your skills and knowledge while receiving comprehensive training to succeed in a cutting-edge, regulated environment.

Responsibilities

  • Operate cyclotron and related equipment for PET product manufacturing.
  • Monitor and interpret production data via computerized systems.
  • Assist and execute validation of analytical methods and quality controls.
  • Maintain raw-material records and track internal inventory.
  • Perform quality control tests, prepare solutions, and conduct general laboratory and facility maintenance.
  • Execute and document Installation, Operational, and Performance Qualifications (IOPQ) protocols, calibrations, and procedural updates.
  • Survey and wipe outgoing radiative delivery containers to ensure compliance.
  • Follow FDA and ALARA radiation safety procedures to maintain safety and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

  • A degree with relevant experience in a technical, pharmaceutical, or medical technology environment OR equivalent related experience.
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week within the operating hours of Monday through Friday between 5am-5pm.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, email, and general computer applications.
  • Experience with laboratory tasks, solution preparation, and quality control testing (preferred).
  • Knowledge or experience in cyclotron operations is a plus.

Schedule
