Site Manager, Service Hub Operations & Aircraft Maintenance (NJUS)
About the role
As the Site Manager, Service Hub Operations & Aircraft Maintenance, you will have direct responsibility for delivering mission-ready aircraft at your Service Hub. This includes oversight of maintenance planning, execution, and return to service at Service Hub locations, accomplished through collaboration with internal team members and external vendors.
You will develop close partnerships with NetJets Return to Service Specialists, Service Hub Supply Chain Coordinators, and Service Representatives. When performing airworthiness or maintenance-related functions, you will operate under the supervision and control of the NJA Director of Maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Oversee performance of multiple teams and suppliers to deliver mission-ready aircraft in compliance with all goals, SLAs, laws, and regulations.
- Partner with and influence the MRO supply chain to achieve SLAs and performance goals for unscheduled and line maintenance, interior repair/restoration, and cabin cleanliness and stocking.
- Manage all aspects of aircraft operations within the Service Hub, including safety and performance goals.
- Oversee unscheduled and line maintenance through management of staff and suppliers at the Service Hub.
- Lead and develop Service Hub vendors, modeling the 20/20 Flight Plan and fostering improved performance.
- Maintain a local presence and accessibility for team members across all shifts.
- Monitor and analyze performance metrics daily to ensure business goals and supplier SLAs are met; adjust plans and communicate changes as needed.
- Drive innovation to improve safety, service, and financial targets as outlined in NetJets' 20/20 Flight Plan or current organizational goals.
- Maintain significant business relationships with suppliers at the local level, in conjunction with other NetJets functions (e.g., Procurement).
- Focus on delivering improvements among all suppliers in safety, quality, cost, and on-time performance.
- Keep the operation informed and collaborate with the Maintenance Control Center, Line Planning Group, Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Maintenance Training, and Operations Scheduling.
- Develop and utilize positive relationships with FBOs, vendors, airport operations, and aviation neighbors to execute the mission and enhance the NetJets brand.
- Strengthen the NetJets brand by collaborating with maintenance providers, customers, regulatory officials, and employees while enforcing ethical business practices.
- Ensure a "Mission Ready" aircraft is properly stocked, cleaned, detailed, and on its launch spot with all maintenance complete and MEL/deferrals cleared for a seamless owner and flight crew experience.
- Demonstrate an entrepreneurial spirit to develop your Service Hub as if you were the proprietor.
- Travel as necessary to assist other Regional Service Hub sites, attend training events, and visit other local airports and providers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management or Supply Chain and Logistics.
- FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certification.
- 10+ years of experience in aviation, with a focus on aircraft safety, quality, and reliability.
- In-depth understanding of business aviation and aircraft maintenance supply chains, with recent field maintenance experience supporting business jet aircraft.
- Well-versed in regulatory requirements associated with operating a large fleet of aircraft, preferably in a Part 135 operation.
