About this Position
TJFACT is seeking a well-qualified Site Manager to support the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA), US Department of Defense (DoD) in San Diego, CA. The Site Manager will have full authority to act for the Contractor on all matters relating to Contract Performance. This role is contingent upon a contract award and relocation may be provided if necessary.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Planning and managing the contract professionally
- Coaching and mentoring supervisors and leads to ensure proper scheduling of work
- Ensuring accurate and timely reports are provided
- Effectively supervising to prevent inefficient or wasteful methods in the performance of services ordered
- Executing cost-saving factors and quality controls to ensure work is performed as scheduled and at a fair and reasonable cost
Required Qualifications
- US Citizen
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Distribution Management, Business Management, or Business Administration
- At least five (5) years of experience in Distribution Management OR at least ten (10) years of management experience in distribution operations similar to the size and complexity of the operations offered in this contract
- Experience using automated warehouse management systems within the past five (5) years
- Possess the knowledge and skills required to plan, control, manage, and successfully complete the work
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated DLA/DoD supply chain management experience; highly preferred
