Site Manager (Aero Installation)
About the role
GE Vernova is a planned, purpose-built global energy company that includes Power, Wind, and Electrification businesses. It is supported by its accelerator businesses of Advanced Research, Consulting Services, and Financial Services. The role is based in Cambridge, Massachusetts, U.S., with operations worldwide.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Attends all site coordination meetings.
- Ensures that site work activities are reported daily to the customer and GE.
- Coordinates activities of site TFA to ensure project schedule and quality goals are achieved.
- Ensures all TFA timesheets are correct and approvals as required are obtained.
- Manages Subcontractor Companies: manpower, OEM specialists, (when applicable).
- Ensures all reports and drawings “marked-up” are completed.
- Ensures the application of applicable EHS safety rules.
- Resolves site non-conformances. Ensures non-conformances are communicated and managed through company tool with the appropriate HQs interfaces.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Extensive travel to and from projects and various field assignments will be required.
- Ability and willingness to work holidays, weekends, and overtime as required by field assignments.
- Manage and develop employees.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Four-year degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Equivalent of + 10 years’ experience in the field.
- Strong understanding of thermodynamics and thermodynamic cycles as they relate to heavy duty turbines.
- Prior gas turbine testing experience.
- Successful completion of required training programs is a minimum requirement.
- Demonstrated progressive, responsible experience with various types of turbine generator equipment and site accountabilities is required.

- Provide leadership and clear direction to project team in terms of project execution.
- Expert level. Able to act as a senior company rep on any outage for the unit qualified.
- Acts as project manager and mentor on complex projects.
- Experience with modeling and analysis programs for gas turbines.
- Proficient in the use of computers and PC software.
- Excellent customer, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Fluent in English language.
Compensation And Benefits
The weekly salary range for this position is $116,900 to $196,300. This is an exempt from overtime position. Additional compensation may be paid when employees exceed 40 billable hours in a week.
