Facilities Maintenance Manager
This role provides technical and leadership to the facilities maintenance team to drive actions to keep the facility and utilities of the site up to codes and standards. Ensures the upkeep of the equipment and facilities, manages budgets, and ensures compliance with safety, regulatory standards, and company sustainability commitments. Drives continuous improvement and reliability in facilities systems and equipment.
- Facilities Maintenance Management:
- Ensures that facilities are safe, functional, and well-maintained, while managing a team of maintenance staff and coordinating with other functions to support operational needs.
- Develops and implements strategic goals and objectives for the department.
- Develops and implements maintenance schedules for all facilities.
- Ensures timely and effective completion of maintenance and repair tasks.
- Conducts regular inspections to identify and address needs.
- Drives engagement of the facilities and utilities team.
- Provides ongoing training and development.
- Budgeting and Cost Control:
- Oversees the execution of facility and utility maintenance and adheres to the annual budget.
- Forecasts costs based on site needs and annual activities.
- Manages gap plans if ever off track.
- Safety, Compliance, and Validation:
- Ensures all facilities and utilities activities comply with industry standards, codes, and regulations.
- Owns designing, executing, and maintaining facilities and utilities validations within the site.
- Conducts safety training and regular safety audits.
- Vendor Management:
- Sources and manages relationships with vendors and suppliers.
- Orders and maintains inventory of necessary supplies and equipment.
- Identifies opportunities for process improvements and implements changes to enhance efficiency and safety.
- Facilities Improvement Projects:
- Manages sustainability (energy, water, and carbon neutral) initiatives to reduce costs and environmental impact.
- Communicates effectively with stakeholders, including within site and external to site.
- Stays updated with the latest engineering technologies and safety practices.
Qualifications
- Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering in a facilities management or a similar role.
- Strong leadership skills.
- In-depth knowledge of engineering principles and safety regulations.
- Experience managing a team and coordinating maintenance activities.
- Proficiency in maintenance management software and tools (BMS, Scada system, CMMS / SAP-PM, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of building systems (Boilers, Chillers, Systems and HVAC, Compressed Air, Electrical Substations, Generators, Water Purification, and Wastewater Treatment).
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Experience utilizing continuous improvement tools, such as lean, TPM, 6-Sigma, DMAIC, RCA, FMEA, cause and effect diagrams.
- PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 6-Sigma black belt preferred.

Salary Range
The salary range for this role is: $104,460 to $154,682.30 annually plus a 12% performance Bonus.
