Site Coordinator

About the role

The Site Coordinator will report to the General Manager/Director and will be responsible for maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of technological developments in the field of engineering. They will conduct site visits, prepare correspondences and reports, maintain effective liaison with contractors, developers, consultants and agencies, manage site issues, coordination and documentation, create studies and summaries of previous and ongoing construction projects, and direct staff on projects, assigning and reviewing work, and advising on technical problems.

Responsibilities

• Report to General Manager/Director.
• Maintains an up-to-date knowledge of technological developments in the field of engineering.
• Cover site visits, prepare correspondences and reports.
• Maintain effective liaison with contractors, developers, consultants and agencies.
• Manage site issues, coordination and documentation.
• Create studies and summaries of previous and ongoing construction projects.
• Direct staff on projects, assigning and reviewing work, and advise on technical problems.

Qualifications and Required Skillset

• Engineering/construction management technologist diploma/degree or equivalent.
• Minimum of 4 years of construction experience, Mechanical and electrical related preferable.
• Analytical mindset and competent report writing skills including the ability to obtain information and prepare reports.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish effective working relationships with all employees, client divisions/sections, outside agencies and/or politicians and other levels of government.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments and conflicting priorities.
• Ability to formulate sound engineering decisions and judgment.
