Site Controller

About the role

The Site Controller serves as a key member of the plant management team, providing leadership in the design, maintenance, and evaluation of all financial activities for the plant. This role influences manufacturing, quality assurance, engineering, and supply chain through budget decisions, financial training, financial recommendations, and general business guidance.

Responsibilities

• Provides guidance in setting strategic direction and designing business plans to achieve the long-term mission of the plant.
• Interacts with the Global and Regional Manufacturing Controllers and the Divisional VP of Manufacturing through presentations of financial plans/analyses/strategies and represents the plant in these discussions.
• Sets the appropriate financial direction ensuring the proper reflection of financial results and forecasts.
• Facilitates proper reporting, analysis, and monitoring of actual results across manufacturing organizations.
• Coordinates, consolidates, and manages the development of plans for the plant including standards, LBE's, and capital budgets.
• Develops and implements financial and operational measurement tools focusing on productivity and customer service improvements.
• Facilitates unit cost savings and overall cost reduction forums for the site to drive gross margin improvement and monitors progress against commitments.
• Gathers, analyzes, and interprets accounting and financial data for the preparation and presentation of meaningful reports and recommendations to both Plant and Division Management.
• Affirms compliance to all relevant GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley regulations, as well as Corporate and divisional policies and procedures.
• Leverages ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) to ensure accurate inventory, costing, and financial reporting.
• Drives automation, standardization, and simplification of finance processes in alignment with corporate initiatives.
• Pairs with shared services, IT, and global finance teams to improve data integrity and reporting efficiency.
• Supports system implementations or upgrades in regulated manufacturing environments.
• Leads, develops, and mentors site finance team members (as applicable).
• Builds strong cross-functional relationships across operations, quality, supply chain, and engineering.
• Promotes a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and ethical financial stewardship.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• 7+ years of progressive finance or accounting experience, including manufacturing finance.
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting, inventory management, and plant-level financial analysis.
• Experience working in regulated industries such as medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or healthcare manufacturing.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP) and advanced financial analysis tools.
• Demonstrated ability to partner with operations and influence senior leaders.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership skills.
• Experience working in regulated industries such as medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or healthcare manufacturing.
• Operational Finance Management/Supervisory Experience.
• Cost Accounting preferred.

Benefits

Base pay for this position is $129,300.00 – $258,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
