Key Duties And Essential Functions
- Analyze and provide insight into key financial areas, including sales, gross profit margins, operating costs, and working capital.
- Oversees all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, Sales Tax filings, and Revenue Recognition.
- Prepares month end, quarter end, and yearend financial statements.
- Ensures business processes and accounting policies are adhered to and provides ongoing support to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
- Oversees the use of ERP software to ensure processes are followed and data accuracy is maintained.
- Aids in supporting any audit questions.
- Analyzes variances from budget and prior periods, discusses results, provides insight and recommendations to key stakeholders.
- Involved in modeling and contracting for larger jobs, ensuring accurate forecast of profitability, and identifying risks in T&Cs.
- Contributes positively to group culture and employee/customer relationships.
- Collaborates effectively with cross-functional teams and departments to address evolving business needs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
- 7+ years of related experience.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to problem solve and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Natural curiosity to follow the data to the correct answer.
- Ability to gain “buy-in” and challenge the status quo in a collaborative manner.
- Independently motivated.
- Able to cultivate strong relationships across all levels of the organization.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with project management finance a plus.
