About the role
HDR is an employee-owned company fostering a culture of inclusion and innovation. We seek a Site Civil Team Lead to lead a team of professionals in Madison, WI and Milwaukee, WI, focusing on complex engineering projects in the TMT sector.
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide overall leadership to the team, identifying growth opportunities through mentoring and training
- Coordinate the design work of Site Civil Engineers, EITs, and Designers
- Create a collaborative and motivating team culture to promote design excellence
- Support marketing and project pursuits, workplan development, quality control, recruiting, and team development
- Take responsibility for operations of production team, including staff development, profitability, morale, quality control, and marketing support
- Administer technical service functions and lead coordination with other sections
- Involvement in marketing planning and proposal scope and fee development
- Directly involved with industrial and public clients in marketing, project production, and related issues
- Implement, monitor, and support company policies
- Select, train, develop, and manage technical and production personnel
- Lead coordination with multidiscipline teams
- Participate in national marketing and production efforts
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications, AutoCad, Civil 3D, HydroCad, and other civil engineering software
- Strong communication and listening skills
- Good leadership and organizational skills
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- A minimum of 7 years experience
- Professional registration, license or certification may be required based on role
