Site/Civil (Land Development) Engineer

ATCS is growing! We have an exciting opportunity for a hybrid Site/Civil (Land Development) Engineer based in Newport News (VA) or Virginia Beach, with three days per week required onsite.

About the role

This individual will design diverse projects including mixed-use, residential, commercial, institutional, and industrial development. The role requires a flexible mindset, cooperative team-oriented attitude, and progressively increasing design and management capabilities.

• Develop innovative technical land development design solutions
• Collaborate with senior engineers and managers to develop innovative design solutions and address project challenges
• Work collaboratively with a team of industry leaders
• Engage in strong client relationships through frequent communications
• Mentor and educate early-career Site/Civil staff

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Civil Engineering
• Professional registration (P.E.) in Virginia
• 5-10+ years of land development design experience with Virginia clients/projects
• Self-starter with the ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in civil engineering design including: stormwater, utilities, paving, roadway design, and grading
• Proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D
• Familiarity with state and municipal design and development processes
• Effective interaction with municipal approval authorities

Full-time employees are eligible for benefits coverage on the first day of the month following their start date.

Pay

Competitive salary range of $79,500 to $132,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Schedule

Hybrid role with three days per week required onsite.
