Site/Civil Engineer
About the role
We are seeking a Site Civil and Water Resources Engineer in Kansas City, MO to support our stormwater and site development design projects. Key responsibilities include:
- Site civil planning, layout, grading, drainage (hydrology and hydraulics)
- Stormwater/green infrastructure design
- Utility design
- Erosion control
- Design review
- Permitting and construction support
Responsibilities
Work on challenging projects ranging from small site and stormwater design to large building projects or public and private infrastructure upgrades.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Proficient professional engineering experience in site layout, grading and drainage, stormwater/green infrastructure, utility, and erosion control design
- Experience leading a team to assemble and review construction drawings and specifications
- Project management experience or a desire to take on project management duties
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in any state and ability to obtain via reciprocity
Qualifications
- Master’s Degree
- CAD/C3D design experience
- Familiarity with drainage programs such as Hydraflow HydroCAD, Culvertmaster, or Flowmaster

Pay
The base salary range for this position is $115,000.00 to $140,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
Schedule
We offer a flexible hybrid working policy, allowing employees to split their work week between Jacobs offices/projects and remote locations.
