What You Will Do
GFT is seeking a Site/Civil Engineer to support a variety of projects in the Southeast region. This role follows a hybrid work model, requiring regular attendance at Tampa, FL office.
What You'll Be Challenged To Do
- Production of engineering and design deliverables in accordance with GFT procedures and standards for projects across the business line.
- Collaborate with Project Managers and Senior Site/Civil Engineers to deliver successful projects to a variety of GFT clients.
- Understand and apply agency design standards in the design of civil infrastructure.
- Use hydrologic and hydraulic programs (ICPR, HEC-RAS, Bentley software, etc.) in the analysis of storm water.
- Model water and wastewater systems (using WaterCAD and SewerCAD).
- Write Basis of Design or other reports related to support civil/site design.
- Coordinate with other disciplines in the development of construction drawings and specifications.
- Coordinate with internal and external clients.
- Occasional travel (up to 10% of time) for field work and meetings.
Education | Experience
- BS in Civil Engineering (MS is a plus)
- E.I.T required. Preferred on track for PE licensure in Florida
- 3+ years of site/land development experience required including a thorough knowledge of the requirements of local, State and Federal agencies having site plan approval jurisdiction.
- Thorough knowledge of local development approval process including site design and grading, stormwater management and erosion & sediment control design, and utility design.
- Extensive site stormwater management design and permitting.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
- Proficient in MS Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Compensation
The salary range for this role is $85,000 - $118,000. Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.
