Responsibilities

  • Client communication
  • Construction document (plan and specifications) and technical reports preparation and/or oversight
  • Engineering analyses and cost estimates
  • Quality control/quality assurance in order to deliver a quality design product
  • Other duties as required

Requirements

  • BS Degree in Civil Engineering or proven equal experience
  • Three (3) years of experience directly related to the design and execution of Land Development Projects required
  • Five or more years preferred
  • FE required
  • PE in the State of Maryland preferred
  • Preparation of reports, exhibits and Site/Civil Construction Plans
  • Strong technical capabilities in various Software Applications including but not limited to: AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook, and Abode Acrobat
  • Strong understanding of civil site design for retail, commercial, residential, and urban redevelopment projects required
  • Proficiency in Civil 3D or other model-based software is desirable
  • Experience in delivering projects that meet technical requirements on time and within budget
  • Ability to perform and/or direct civil related engineering work on diverse design projects across various market segments and with varying degrees of complexity
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to become proficient in Dewberry engineering practices, standards, and Dewberry-specific software programs
