Job Summary
The Siplast Territory Manager is responsible for promoting and selling Siplast roofing and/or Wall Control products and all aspects of general administration within his/her district. This role engages with owner/developers, construction and enclosure consultants, architects, specifiers, distributors, and installing contractors to provide significant technical advice and guidance in their design, specification, and installation processes.
Essential Duties
- Sell Siplast products through specification selling to major owners, architects, roofing consultants, and roofing contractors including identification of prospective jobs and decision making individual, timely contact, and effective follow-up.
- Assist with the development and maintenance of a quality select roofing contractor and lightweight contractor program, based on knowledge of contractor business, general market knowledge, and active involvement in local trade organizations and activities.
- Provide technical services including development and/or review of roofing specifications for prospective jobs, participation in pre-job meetings (when required), conduct periodic job/rooftop inspections (when required), and basic troubleshooting.
- Work closely with local field technical representatives in prioritizing and managing technical needs of his/her territory.
- Develop, monitor and manage Sales budget including forecasting, sales and related business expenses ensuring that all territory expenses are within defined limits, and policies followed.
- Complete all required administrative and electronic reports to include itinerary, expense reports, prospect lists, job quotes, shipping forecasts, call reports, activity reports, guarantee forms, factory warehouse inventory reports per established guidelines and time frames.
- Absorb and/or determine required pricing deviations, based upon job size, competitive threat, specification rigidity, etc.
- Aid the Credit Manager in maintaining all accounts in a "current" or "acceptable" status.
Qualifications
- H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required
- Bachelor’s Degree in business or related field Preferred
- 5+ years of relevant experience in the roofing, building, or construction industry
- 1-3 years experience managing client/customer relationships
- Excellent interpersonal skills including communication skills both verbal and written, ability to establish and maintain business relationships
