Minimum 10-week internship

Internships

Highly competitive. Preference given to applicants pursuing careers or advanced degrees in agriculture-related fields. Applications open on December 1st, 2025. Deadline for all internships is December 15, 2025.

Internship Experience

• Elizabeth Adams, an intern with Silver Spur Ranches in Wyoming during the summers of 2021 and 2022, describes her experience as life-changing. She gained invaluable skills and formed deep relationships with mentors and coworkers.
• Bailey Watson traveled across the country to work at Silver Spur Ranches in Colorado during the summer of 2022, finding the experience to be incredibly rewarding and exactly where she was meant to be.
• Amy Hull interned at the Silver Spur Ranch horse barn in Encampment, WY during the summer of 2017, gaining foundational skills in starting horses and riding various types, while also participating in events and networking with top trainers.
• Stacey Etchemendy interned with Silver Spur Ranches in Wyoming during the summer of 2013, gaining hands-on experience across multiple aspects of the operation, from office work to hay season and cattle management.
