About the role

This position serves as a key member of the Security Resilience - Security Analyst Team in Northern, VA. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining the organization's SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) system, ensuring its effectiveness in detecting and responding to security incidents.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain the SIEM system, including configuration, tuning, and optimization.
  • Perform regular analysis of logs and events to identify potential security threats and anomalies.
  • Collaborate with IT staff to ensure that security policies and procedures are effectively implemented and enforced.
  • Develop and maintain documentation related to SIEM operations and incident response procedures.
  • Stay updated on the latest SIEM technologies and best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within a government or defense contractor environment.
  • Experience with SIEM systems such as Splunk, QRadar, or ArcSight.
  • Knowledge of common security protocols and standards, including NIST and ISO.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

  • Top Secret clearance preferred.
  • Experience with SIEM system management and incident response.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell.
  • Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau or PowerBI.

Pay

The starting salary range for this position is $80,000 - $120,000 annually.

Schedule

The position is full-time and requires an on-site presence at our Northern, VA office.
