Shuttle Driver Associate

About the role

The Driver position is a safety-sensitive role requiring a high degree of responsibility for transporting staff, patients, and visitors in a safe, timely, and professional manner. Drivers must operate vehicles under all weather and driving conditions, including multiple distractions. Responsibilities include performing vehicle inspections, minor repairs, and cleaning duties, as well as monitoring parking areas and grounds for potential security issues.

Responsibilities

• Provides transportation for employees, guests, and community groups to and from various locations
• Performs limited maintenance and care of department vehicles and equipment
• Notifies supervisor of anticipated repair needs as appropriate
• Uses the radio to appropriately communicate with dispatch and other shuttle drivers while in route
• Maintains awareness of parking area and grounds for suspicious activity or hazards and reports them to the appropriate department
• Ensures appropriate documentation is completed in an accurate and timely manner in accordance with regulations and department policy

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• At least 21 years of age
• At least 25 years of age for Valet
• Excellent driving record
• LIC-Chauffeur License - STATE_MI (State of Michigan)
• CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA (American Heart Association) or CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC (American Red Cross) (not required for Spectrum Health Lakeland)
