Responsibilities
- Create a welcoming and informative environment for passengers using the autonomous shuttle service.
- Engage with riders, answer questions, and explain autonomous vehicle technology in simple, approachable terms.
- Serve as a program ambassador by representing Beep and the client’s program initiatives professionally with the public and community stakeholders.
- Demonstrate a clear understanding of vehicle systems, proactively monitoring vehicle systems and autonomous driving performance during operations.
- Observe traffic, road conditions, and system status to always ensure safe operations and situational awareness.
- Respond to alerts or unusual system or vehicle behavior and follow procedures to bring the vehicle to a safe state when necessary.
- Provide clear feedback on system performance and operation issues to the engineering teams to support continuous improvement of the service.
- Maintain real-time communications with the Beep Command Center to report system status and coordinate operational responses.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure readiness for service.
- Aid in basic troubleshooting and escalate technical issues as required.
- Support testing activities or software updates by documenting observations and operational feedback.
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and operational procedures.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and passenger-ready conditions throughout the shift.
- Following the end of every shift, ensure vehicles are properly charged, cleaned and prepared for the next service period.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with 3-5 years of driving experience and a clean driving record.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to pass background checks, motor vehicle record checks, and drug screening.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
- Comfortable working outdoors & driving in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
Work Flexibility
- Physically able to drive a vehicle for an extended period of time
- Ability to adhere to a flexible work schedule during the daytime hours of 12:00pm - 10:00pm EST (schedule subject to change with proper notice given)
Pay
$22.00/hour
