About the role
The Showroom Manager is responsible for providing inside sales, presenting products to local designers, keeping the showroom space and sample library organized, and running showroom events.
Responsibilities
- Open and close showroom daily
- Handle inside sales
- Set up and manage showroom events (occasional evenings and weekends)
- Generate traffic into the showroom
- Present information on all brands clearly, accurately, and professionally
- Clearly communicate Mission Zero, Seven Fronts of Sustainability, and Climate Take Back
- Present product information to local designers
- Maintain the showroom and develop plans to maximize sales
- Create and implement showroom displays
- Assist walk-in customers
- Manage the on-site tile sample inventory
- Work with Account Executives (AEs) to provide samples to clients
- Coordinate Lunch n' Learn and other events for AEs
- Responsible for facility coordination, including utilities, maintenance, and janitorial contracts
- Maintain housekeeping
- Comply with safety rules and environmental regulations
- Be aware of departmental Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS)
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High School Diploma (four-year college degree in Design or a related field preferred)
- One to three years of sales experience in a retail/design environment preferred
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent presentation skills
- Strong customer relationship skills
- Demonstrated organization and follow-up skills
- Demonstrated design experience preferred
- Proficiency with Canva, Instagram, LinkedIn, PowerPoint, and Excel is preferred
Physical demands
- Occasional lifting and moving of less than 50 lbs.
- Occasional travel
