We are looking for a Part-Time Showroom Consultant. Someone who wants a fun job that they can enjoy helping our retail walk-in customers to have a wonderful experience in our showroom!

About the Role

Our Showroom Consultants give the first impression and are the first to help our customers. They are warm and welcoming when they greet customers, help to assess needs, show lighting and decor product, answer questions, and are first to answer phone calls and help customers with lamp repairs. They are responsible for maintaining a beautiful showroom.

Responsibilities

• Help customers find items they love
• Show the features and know the specifications for products
• Blend options with the styles customers want
• Use a ladder and lift up to 25 lbs
• Represent the company at industry and community events
• Design and update the sales floor layout and sales displays routinely
• Responsible for maintaining a tidy and clean showroom
• Occasional travel to off-site events such as local home show and industry functions

Requirements

• Part-time hours from 20-25 hours per week
• Shifts will vary from 4 hours to full day at 10 hours
• Ability to work minimum of 3 Saturdays per month and Monday evenings occasionally
• Interior design education preferred
• Sales experience preferred but not required
• An eye for interior design and appreciation for many aesthetic styles
• Excellent customer service skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Be a collaborative, team player
• Basic computer skills required

Qualifications

• Possesses a 'can-do' positive attitude
• Warm and friendly
• Has retail store and display staging experience
• Desire to maximize sales by providing options that fit the customers' needs
• Energetic and efficient
• Knowledgeable of, or able to learn, the Windward database program and website
• Capable of following orders through from start to delivery, ensuring order is complete and handling issues as they arise
• Someone who looks to grow in design expertise and within the company
