About the Role
As a technician, you will conduct all work safely, adhering to safety, environmental, and contamination control policies. You will diagnose and perform repairs on customer or company-owned equipment, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, while maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
Responsibilities
- Wear proper personal protective equipment and complete required technician training.
- Maintain awareness of technical changes in the industry and necessary tools for job performance.
- Diagnose, disassemble, and assemble components to manufacturer’s specifications.
- Perform repairs on mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Inspect components to maximize parts reuse and control repair costs.
- Complete documentation using appropriate software to record repairs and repair times.
- Monitor job expenses versus estimates and notify supervisors of cost overruns.
- Maintain a positive attitude and contribute to team efforts while meeting safety and quality expectations.
- Train and mentor others in the department.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- 3-4 years of experience.
- Completion of all required training to be designated a Tech II.
- Ability to comprehend written material and communicate effectively with employees and customers.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency in computer use, Microsoft Office products, and relevant dealer software programs.

Environmental Conditions
- Constantly: Inside conditions (protected from weather but not temperature changes), noise (requiring shouting to be heard), hazards (e.g., moving parts, electrical current, high places, heat, chemicals), atmospheric conditions (fumes, odors, dust, mists, gases, poor ventilation), oils (air/skin exposure).
- Frequently: Extreme heat (temperatures above 100°F for over an hour), vibration (oscillating movements).
- Occasionally: Outside environmental conditions, extreme cold (temperatures below 32°F for over an hour), air particulates/contaminants (requiring respirator use).
