Shop Manager

Responsibilities

• Working closely with the Sales staff to develop and drive sales to the Panel Shop.
• Managing our in-house Control Panel Shop.
• Providing field support over the phone and occasionally out in the field.
• Instructing and working with our Panel Shop Technicians in the fabrication of our control panels.
• Procuring all the components used in the Panel Shop.

Requirements

• 3+ years in the Design and Fabrication of Industrial Control Panels
• Equivalent to B.S. in Engineering or comparable design experience
• Ability to design and draft small control systems using AutoAD Electrical including Schematics, Panel Layouts, Bill of Materials, Special Details, etc.
• Ability to specify all the components of the control panel.
• Experience in programming PLC's and HMI's.
• Knowledge of Variable Frequency Drives (VFD's) and their programming and testing.
• Experience in factory testing of controls and control panels.
• Familiarity with the UL508A standard for Control Panels.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word and Excel.
• A knowledge of SAP is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Experience in industrial control systems design and fabrication.
• Strong understanding of electrical principles and AutoAD Electrical software.
• Programming skills for PLC's and HMI's.
• Field experience with control panel fabrication and testing.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the UL508A standard.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office.
