Shop Maintenance Technician II

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and perform repairs on tractors, trucks, and heavy machinery, including engine overhauls, transmission and differential repairs, and troubleshooting electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Maintain detailed equipment records and complete maintenance reports.
• Prioritize tasks effectively to meet operational needs.
• Manage multiple tasks and projects concurrently, ensuring efficiency and productivity.
• Collaborate with the team and lead by example, sharing knowledge and skills to promote a positive working environment.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and malfunctions promptly, especially during critical times in the farming season.
• Engage in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
• Comply with and actively participate in Company safety policies, practices, and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in an agricultural maintenance shop environment.
• Proficiency in diagnosing and performing repairs on tractors and trucks, including engine overhauls, transmission and differential repairs, and troubleshooting electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Welding and fabrication skills, including field repairs.
• Basic computer skills, such as using email, touchscreens, and diagnostic programming.
• Ability to read schematics.
• Must be able to pass a company Motor Vehicle Requirement (MVR) check and meet the Lamb Weston Driving Policy requirements.
• Strong customer service orientation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (100 lbs with a team lift), stand for extended periods, perform frequent tasks involving standing, walking, bending, stooping, climbing, twisting, and turning.
• Regular exposure to indoor/outdoor environments with varying temperature conditions, from hot to cold, and regular exposure to outdoor farming environments during the workday, including loud noise, excessive heat, cold, wet, slippery conditions, dirt, fumes, smoke, odors, and allergens.
• Manual dexterity, overall coordination, and good balance to work both at ground level and in elevated positions to perform job duties.
• Ability to operate equipment related to the job.

Pay

Industry-competitive pay rate or range: $32.20 per hour
