About the role
In this role, you will:
- Keep an eagle eye on safety to uphold a secure work environment.
- Run and follow the daily Work Center Queue Report to maintain workflow efficiency.
- Perform various SAP transactions to maintain a streamlined stock and sales order flow.
- Manage tasks related to stock and sales order realization including cylinder dedication, record keeping, data management, and record handling.
- Manage cylinder stock and report levels to production and laboratory personnel to ensure availability.
- Ensure all orders are shipped on time with accurate paperwork to meet customer expectations.
- Process all original work tickets, folders, and bills of lading daily for manifesting and filing is part of your role.
- Maintain ample inventory of all forms, labels, and other supplies as needed to support operations.
- Provide feedback and participate in potential high-performance organization projects related to shipping and receiving processes.
- Perform goods receipts in SAP to accurately record incoming stock.
- Notify Shipping Manager promptly of any shipment problems to enable quick resolution.
- Ensure packaging, labeling, and markings comply with applicable regulations to guarantee safety and compliance.
- Enter work requests into Maximo for required maintenance to support equipment reliability.
- Maintain a clean and well-organized work area to promote safety and efficiency.
Responsibilities
As a Shipping Technician I, you will:
- Comply with applicable regulatory requirements such as DOT, IATA and IMDG.
- Have the ability to perform duties where respirators are required.
- Have the ability to perform basic unit conversions.
- Have basic computer skills for this role.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you should have:
- A High School diploma or equivalent.
- Prior military experience is a plus.
Qualifications
You should be able to:
- Perform basic unit conversions.
- Use basic computer skills.
- Work independently and as part of a team.
- Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Skills
The ideal candidate will possess:
