Shipping Technician I

Responsibilities

• Identify product size
• Be proficient in operating automatic tools and machines (e.g., lift booms, automatic strappers)
• Understand rotation of stock
• Efficiently use the bar code system
• Load trucks and railcars according to driver safety requirements
• Complete appropriate paperwork (e.g., loading diagrams)

Qualifications

• Basic Qualifications: Familiar with operating procedures for heavy-lift forklifts including safety checks, forklift operator maintenance, and troubleshooting
• Must possess basic computer skills
• Proficient with mathematical skills to insure inventory accuracy
• Capable of adhering to good customer relations practices
