Shipping Technician - First Shift
Position Summary
The Shipping Technician is a vital part of our operations team, ensuring products move accurately and efficiently from our facility to customers around the world. This fast-paced role combines shipping, receiving, material handling, and production support responsibilities, requiring adaptability, attention to detail, and a team-first mindset.
Schedule
1st Shift
- Monday – Friday
- 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- No weekends
Pay & Benefits
$20–$22 per hour
In addition, employees may be eligible for an annual performance bonus based on both individual and company success.
What You'll Do
- Pick, pack, label, and stage customer orders with accuracy and efficiency
- Prepare shipping paperwork and coordinate carrier and freight pickups
- Verify order details, quantities, and product labeling before shipment
- Safely load and unload incoming and outgoing freight
- Operate warehouse and production equipment, including saws, drills, presses, and trimmers
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work environment
- Identify quality concerns and help resolve issues before products leave the facility
- Contribute ideas that improve processes, efficiency, and overall operations
- Provide support across departments as business needs evolve
What We're Looking For
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Able to read blueprints, specifications, and measuring devices
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A positive attitude and willingness to pitch in where needed
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or GED required
- 1–3 years of shipping, receiving, warehouse, or material handling experience preferred
- Forklift certification or material handling equipment experience is a plus
- Valid Wisconsin driver's license, or the ability to obtain one
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- This role is based in an active warehouse and light manufacturing environment.
- Employees should be comfortable:
- Standing and walking throughout the workday
- Regularly lifting and moving materials up to 50 pounds
- Operating warehouse and production equipment safely
- Wearing required PPE, including safety glasses and hearing protection
