Shipping Technician, 2:30 pm to 11:00 pm

About the role

The Night Shift Shipping Technician manages daily shipping and distribution operations in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The technician ensures all orders are shipped timely, products are properly labeled and packaged, and safety guidelines are followed.

Responsibilities

• Gather, review, and sort daily orders by ship date.
• Prioritize duties with help from the Supervisor.
• Coordinate with all departments to ensure customer orders are shipped in a timely manner.
• Match product and customer orders to ensure proper quantities and labeling.
• Prepare UPS/FedEx shipments according to customer requirements.
• Coordinate and assist with routine and exception cycle counting.
• Assist with inventory activities, including the cycle‑counting process.
• Maintain accurate records of all shipping activities, including tracking information and shipping documentation.
• Inspect and verify incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure accuracy and quality.
• Communicate with carriers, customers, and team members about any issues or concerns.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a shipping or warehouse environment (preferred).
• Knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures and documentation.
• Ability to operate a forklift and other warehouse equipment.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in using computer systems for tracking, inventory, and record keeping.

Pay

$19.00 /hr plus a $1.25 shift differential, with increases based on forklift certifications.

Schedule

Monday‑Friday, 2:30 pm – 11:00 pm (night shift).
