Shipping/Receiving & Materials Handling Supervisor

This is a fully onsite role, with work performed at your designated Regal Rexnord office in Downers Grove, IL.

About the role

Supervise and execute shipping, receiving, and stockroom duties in the Regal Rexnord Aerospace plant. This position requires comprehensive knowledge of all stockroom, shipping, and receiving responsibilities in an aerospace capacity, including the ability to work with various paperwork such as packing slips, purchase orders, requisitions, process sheets, and special instructions.

Responsibilities

Supervisor & Leadership

• Supervise a team of six in Shipping, Receiving, Component, and Raw Stockrooms.
• Manage work schedules and adjust manpower to maintain workflow.
• Authorize overtime as required.
• Act as a player/coach to assist in executing daily, weekly, and monthly tasks.
• Coordinate streamlining projects, ensuring conformance to 5S standards and safety regulations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve operational difficulties to ensure product movement.
• Complete performance evaluations, maintain discipline, and handle grievances.
• Interview, recommend salary increases, and manage hiring, promotion, and termination of staff.
• Create requisitions and order warehouse supplies.

Shipping

• Maintain domestic and international shipments, including finished products, outside processing, and MRO orders.
• Pack and prepare shipments according to Rexnord and customer requirements.
• Perform shipping functions via specified carriers (UPS, FedEx) using systems like UPS Online Pro.

Receiving

• Process UPS, common carrier, and raw material deliveries daily.
• Verify, count, and receipt purchased parts, outside processing, MRO orders, and raw materials.
• Move product to various departments and provide manpower to unload and store bar and flat stock.

Stockroom

• Issue and pull orders based on shop order dates and schedules.
• Perform receipt, issue, count verification, and labeling of products.
• Conduct cycle counts and inventory accuracy verifications.

Cycle Count Program

• Manage the facility’s cycle counting program, including daily counts and variance approvals.
• Maintain records and ensure counts meet corporate objectives.

• Follow quality and safety rules; maintain a clean and orderly work area.

Requirements

• Must be a US Person (US Citizen or Green Card holder).
• 5+ years of experience in shipping, receiving, and stockroom.
• 3+ years of supervisory experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
• Cycle counting experience.
• Four-year degree preferred.
• Demonstrated ERP system experience.
• Problem-solving skills using lean methodologies.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Detail-oriented and data-driven.
• Moderate physical demand: frequent lifting of average-weight material or occasional heavy lifting.

Pay

Expected base salary range: $60,000 – $75,000. Salary depends on factors including location, skills, experience, education, and internal peer comparisons.
