Position Description

Manages warehouse and/or distribution team to ensure the accurate, safe, and efficient flow of incoming and outgoing goods. They oversee staff, coordinate logistics with carriers, manage inventory records, and ensure compliance with safety and company regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Train, schedule, and supervise warehouse staff. Handle performance reviews, onboarding, and daily task assignments.
  • Logistics & Carrier Management: Coordinate shipment appointments, negotiate or verify shipping rates, and track both incoming (inbound) and outgoing (outbound) orders.
  • Quality Assurance: Inspect shipments for damages, verify goods against purchase orders or invoices, and handle discrepancies.
  • Inventory Control: Oversee cycle counts, reconcile inventory within Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), and ensure stock rotation.
  • Compliance & Safety: Enforce OSHA regulations, maintain a clean and organized facility, and conduct safety audits.
  • Documentation: Manage important paperwork such as bills of lading (BOL), packing slips, Advanced Shipping Notices (ASN), and customs forms

Required Education & Qualifications

  • Typically requires 3–5 years of warehouse or logistics experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or team lead capacity.
  • Must be familiar with SAP, Excel, Word, Microsoft Outlook, and the internet.
  • Must have excellent communication skills, great customer service skills, a quick learner and self-motivated to maximize production.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and time-management skills to handle fast-paced, high-stress environments.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs and work in warehouse conditions.
  • Certified, as required, to operate material handling equipment (e.g. forklift, pallet jack, etc.).
  • Participate in overtime/weekend coverage as needed to support production coverage.
  • Follow Safety standards and PPE requirements (safety shoes, glasses, ear plugs, gloves, etc.).
  • Maintain 5S standards and adhere to all EHS policies.
