Pay

The hourly wage for this position is $22.88 and varies based on specific responsibilities and geographic location. Starting hourly rate within this range will be determined based on the candidate's experience, qualifications, and/or skillset.

Responsibilities

  • Receives goods and verifies the quality and count of all items unloaded from trucks and trailers; checks against suppliers count and immediately reports discrepancies to carriers and supervisor
  • Carefully and accurately maintains shipping records including incoming and outgoing products, goods returned, and damaged product
  • Notifies supervisor of major discrepancies, over-shipments, or substitutions
  • Prepares proper paperwork for shipments
  • Transports materials on shipping dock with a clamp truck or forklift as needed
  • Maintains a clean, organized work area that facilitates safe warehousing and loading dock operations
  • Safely loads and unloads trucks with the forklift
  • Safely stacks/places raw materials and finished goods in their designated area(s) in an organized manner that does not create hazards for other personnel and facilitates efficient inventorying and inventory control
  • Ensures the accuracy of both incoming and outgoing bills of lading (BOL)
  • Effectively communicates with immediate supervisor any concerns with conditions of trailers and/or the quality of incoming materials
  • Coordinates with drivers to ensure a safe and efficient flow of traffic in and out of the loading docks
  • Verifies that the pallet tags on finished goods accurately reflect the product on the pallet(s) when putting pallet(s) away in warehouse and prior to shipment
  • Assists Material Handler on the production floor with delivering raw materials to their line(s) as needed
  • Conducts inventory at the start of the shift on the first workday of each week and reports levels to immediate supervisor
  • Performs other duties as required

Requirements
