Our client, a fast-growing metal fabrication and industrial manufacturing company, is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Coordinator to join its on-site team east of Dallas, Texas.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the daily load-out of finished products and fabricated materials.
- Track incoming deliveries and communicate arrival information to the appropriate teams.
- Direct drivers, materials, and paperwork to the correct receiving or staging locations.
- Help schedule and prioritize inbound and outbound shipments.
- Confirm shipment details, quantities, destinations, and required documentation.
- Work with production, purchasing, project management, and warehouse employees to resolve shipping issues.
- Maintain organized shipping and receiving records.
- Communicate delays, shortages, damage, or documentation problems.
- Help ensure completed products are properly staged before pickup.
- Support physical shipping and receiving activities when needed.
- Assist with continuous improvements to load-out and receiving processes.
Requirements
- Previous shipping, receiving, logistics, warehouse, or manufacturing coordination experience.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Attention to detail when reviewing shipment information and documentation.
- Ability to communicate clearly with drivers, production employees, and internal departments.
- Comfort working in a fast-moving industrial environment.
- Basic computer and data-entry skills.
- Dependable attendance and follow-through.
- Ability to work on-site east of Dallas, Texas.
Qualifications
- Experience in metal fabrication, manufacturing, industrial distribution, or construction materials.
- Experience with bills of lading, packing lists, purchase orders, and delivery schedules.
- Familiarity with ERP, MRP, warehouse, or inventory-management systems.
- Forklift experience or certification.
- Experience coordinating oversized, heavy, or custom-fabricated products.
- Familiarity with freight carriers, flatbed shipments, and industrial load securement.
