Job Title: Shipping/Receiving Associate II
About the role
We are a company dedicated to improving the world through advanced ceramics manufacturing. This role supports our daily shipping and receiving operations with a focus on material movement, inventory organization, and warehouse coordination.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily shipping, receiving, and warehouse tasks following established procedures and work instructions with limited supervision.
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials and products for accuracy, damage, and proper labeling.
- Cook material movement, including plasma parts, between receiving, storage, and shipping areas.
- Coordinate and execute movement of materials, including pallet movement across the facility.
- Maintain and organize storage racks and newly established staging areas to ensure efficient material flow.
- Prepare, build, and organize pallets and crates for shipment according to standard packaging requirements.
- Process shipments using carrier systems (UPS, FedEx, DHL), including preparing required documentation such as packing slips, bills of lading, and shipping records.
- Verify physical counts against documentation to ensure shipping and inventory accuracy.
- Utilize material handling equipment such as sit-down forklifts, stand-up forklifts, pallet jacks, and similar equipment (including cherry-picker–style units).
- Order and maintain shipping supplies as needed (boxes, packaging materials, etc.).
- Support cycle counts and inventory tracking of finished goods as required.
- Interact with internal teams (Sales, Planning, Manufacturing) and external carriers to support daily operations.
- Accurately enter and maintain data within internal systems.
- Assist with cross-training and support other operational areas as needed.
- Maintain compliance with all safety procedures and training requirements.
- Support operations after standard hours as needed to ensure material movement and workflow continuity.
Requirements
- Education: High School diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations
- Functional/Technical Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Experience operating both sit-down and stand-up forklifts (required)
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and cherry-picker–style lifts
- Experience using major carrier systems (UPS, FedEx, DHL)
- Ability to read tape measures and utilize basic measuring tools for packaging
- Comfortable building pallets and preparing shipments to standard specifications
- Strong computer skills and ability to learn internal systems
- Solid understanding of shipping/receiving processes and basic documentation
- Ability to manage material flow and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and collaborate across teams
- Comfortable working in a physically active environment with frequent movement throughout the facility
- Ability to work with diverse teams and backgrounds
Pay
Hourly: USD 21.86 - USD 26.00
Actual compensation is commensurate with experience, skills and education.
Schedule
Day Shift: Monday – Friday 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Hybrid shift environment with flexibility required to support operations across shifts as needed.
