Shipping & Parts Clerk

Key Responsibilities

• Provide a friendly, professional greeting and assist customers with parts inquiries, orders, and purchases.
• Answer phones and communicate effectively with customers and vendors via phone, email, and in-person.
• Check stock availability, identify correct parts, and fulfill orders quickly and accurately.
• Cook with the service department to support vehicle repair and maintenance needs.
• Process invoices, payments, returns, and warranties accurately.

Shipping, Receiving & Inventory

• Receive, unpack, inspect, and store incoming parts shipments in proper locations.
• Maintain accurate inventory through binning, stocking, and perpetual inventory tracking.
• Absist with routine audits and annual physical inventories.
• Notify management of any damaged goods or discrepancies.

Logistics & Operational Support

• Prepare, pull, and deliver parts to technicians and customers as needed.
• Support delivery operations including maintaining delivery schedules and logs.
• Help keep the parts department clean, organized, and professional in appearance.
• Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean delivery vehicle when applicable.

Skills & Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and customer first attitude.
• Ability to multitask and work with a sense of urgency.
• Basic math skills for invoicing, inventory, and transactions.
• Automotive parts knowledge preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
• Frequent reaching, bending, and handling of parts and materials.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent, 18 years or older required.
