Shipping Loader - Night Shift

About the Role

This role is not open for submission from outside staffing agencies. As a Production Warehouse Shipping Loader on the second shift, you’ll play a crucial role in moving and handling glass products, ensuring efficient production flow, and maintaining quality standards. The shift runs from 6 PM to 3 AM, with overtime as needed.

Pay

$16/hour plus a $1 shift differential. Quarterly safety bonus opportunities and additional pay based on individual and team performance through the Monthly Production Incentive Compensation Program.

Responsibilities

• Move glass from tables, furnaces, rolling racks, delivery trucks, or wood crates for eight or more hours daily
• Transport materials, including glass, to expedite the production process
• Read and attach appropriate labels and tags to products
• Perform quality inspections and notify supervisors of abnormalities (e.g., fabrication issues, logo placement)
• Utilize a tape measure to ensure products meet specifications
• Maintain a safe and clean work area
• Operate equipment and/or manually maneuver materials
• Understand facility layout to ensure proper product flow

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Ability to lift 75 lbs unassisted and up to 150 lbs with assistance
• Ability to push weights greater than 150 lbs with a team
• Ability to stand for long periods
• Flexible work availability (typically Monday through Friday with occasional weekends)

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED, preferred
• One year of previous work experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or production facility, preferred
• Forklift experience, a plus
• Overhead crane experience, a plus

Skills

• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently
• Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
• Ability to read, understand, and communicate paperwork and labels
• Basic mathematical skills and proficiency with a tape measure
