Shipping & Receiving Loader Night Shift

About the role

Cornerstone Building Brands is a leading manufacturer of exterior building products. This full-time, night shift position offers competitive compensation and benefits.

Responsibilities

• Understands and follows safety rules and precautions in a manufacturing environment.
• Assists CPU customers.
• Takes loading photos.
• Uploads loading photos.
• Scans loading documentation.
• Affixes metal bands and protective coverings to ensure secure transport of parts.
• Operates forklifts and other lifting equipment.
• Ensures each lift meets maximum allowable trailer load requirements.
• Assists with inventory counts as needed.
• Maintains continuous improvement practices in the work area.
• Utilizes scanning equipment.
• Inspects work visually for defects according to Quality Systems.
• Provides cost-saving suggestions and ideas to improve productivity and eliminate waste.
• Willing and able to work overtime.
• Reads, writes, and follows posted schedules.
• May be assigned other projects or tasks by the team leader.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
• A minimum of one year of related work experience in manufacturing or a comparable work environment.
• Good communication skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Forklift experience a plus (must be trainable).
• Crane experience a plus (must be trainable).
• Flexible with working overtime and weekends when needed.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist.
• Ability to work in a non-temperature-controlled environment.
• Some knowledge of a manufacturing environment.
